Leighton “DJ Walshy Fire” Walsh is an original Miami native of Jamaican decent, which explains the rich reggae history. From Toots & The Maytels to Black Eyed Peas, Walshy is known for re-mixing tunes to fit his bashment culture. This international culture has led to affiliations with renowned Beat Street Records, Black Chiney Sound, the 2006 Miami New Times Best Reggae DJ Title and a personality spot at Clear Channel’s now defunct 103.5FM the Beat just to name a few.
